I don’t know what I think until I read what I’ve written.

Life is what happens when you’ve made other plans.

Write what you know, research what you can, and fudge the rest.

The difference between fiction and real life is that fiction has to make sense.

If you go back far enough and stop in the right place you can justify any side of any dispute.

Lies are like cockroaches– if you see one, there are more.   –-Nelson DeMille

All men are moral. Only their neighbors are not.  — John Steinbeck

Most of my troubles never happened.  —Soong Mei-Lei

Old age is not for sissies. — Attributed to Bette Davis

To Rafe Steinberg: The dangers you cite don’t even require a future president to make them a reality. How about a future J.Edgar Hoover? Hoover used secretly obtained information not just to wreck lives and careers but to intimidate presidents from doing anything about it.

About your two friends’ comments – I don’t think your blog is boring at all. However, it is entirely possible that many people won’t listen until it’s too late because they’re not alert (I’m trying to be polite here) enough to realize the significance of threats that affect them more in the long-term than right now. But Rafe, I agree that is no reason to be silent. I enjoy your blog and I commend you for trying to wake people up.

What do YOU think about it?
